System security update reminder

To ensure our systems are protected by the latest security updates in line with our IT security commitment and ISO 27001 obligations, we will be applying security patches to all operating systems and databases in our cloud-based infrastructure.

These updates will result in the following systems and services being unavailable during the following time periods:

• 18:00 on Friday 27 February until 08:00 on Monday 2 March
• 18:00 on Friday 6 March until 08:00 on Monday 9 March

During the above outage weekends, the following systems will be unavailable:

• Net.update
• odbc-link
• web-link
• xml-link
• Course Collect
• Application and Decision Tracker
• for applicants - UCAS Apply and Track
• Apply for advisers and Adviser Track

Following your feedback, we have timed the operational outages to occur after the opening of the Extra process to allow sufficient time to ensure your vacancies are up-to-date in Course Collect, and therefore displayed as expected in the search tool.

Further reminders will be available through the weekly bulletin and Yammer. We will notify applicants and advisers on ucas.com and via social media.
