Submitting a Record of Prior Acceptance (RPA)

The UCAS Undergraduate Admissions Guide states that providers must recruit all their full-time undergraduate applicants through UCAS.

Posted Tue 20 August 2019

We understand that, in some circumstances, the UCAS application can be a barrier to students, and you may choose to recruit them through a direct application. If you do this, you must complete an RPA to avoid bypassing the UCAS admissions service, and breaching our terms of service.

You must have the applicant’s permission to submit their details on an RPA, and the applicant:

  • must have met the requirements for entry to the course
  • must not already have submitted a UCAS application
  • can only apply for a single choice. As there is no fee for the RPA, Clearing is not an option if the applicant changes their mind. The applicant must understand, that once accepted, they will be made UF with you, and cannot be considered by any other UCAS provider

The final date to submit an RPA for the 2019 cycle is 22 October. If any applicants do not enrol with you by 22 October, you can withdraw their RPA in web-link.

You will be charged capitation fees for applicants placed using RPAs, but applicants do not pay an application fee.

For more information about the RPA process, please visit our Record of Prior Acceptance web page.
