StarJ data for the 2019 cycle

StarJ data for the 2019 cycle is planned for release in mid-November.

Posted Tue 5 November 2019

We’re aiming to give you further details on how to access it in the week beginning 11 November.

As a reminder, the data forms part of the Student record required by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Some providers in England also use the data to support Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) returns. HESA has confirmed there are no changes for UCAS to apply to StarJ for 2019.

This year’s StarJ flat file will be available through the link products, and via MOVEit. More details are in the MOVEit user guide.

You can read about the ‘Specification of the UCAS Data for HESA (*J) 2019’ on our HESA return web page. If you had placed 2019 applicants in the HEP1 and HEP2 test environments, StarJ test data has been set up for you. You can access this data from our Test and training environments web page.
