We’re aiming to give you further details on how to access it in the week commencing 12 November.
As a reminder, the data forms part of the Student record required by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Some providers in England also use the data to support Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) returns. HESA has confirmed there are no changes for UCAS to apply to StarJ for 2018.
As well as being available through the link products, this year’s StarJ flat file will also be available via MOVEit, the secure file transfer service. You can find more details in the MOVEit user guide.
You can read about the ‘Specification of the UCAS Data for HESA (*J) 2018’ on our 'HESA return' page. If you had some placed 2018 applicants in the HEP1 and HEP2 test environments, StarJ test data has been set up for you to test. You can access this data from our ‘Test and training environments’ page.
