StarJ data for the 2017 cycle

The StarJ data for the 2017 cycle is planned for release mid-November.

Posted Wed 1 November 2017
We’re aiming to give you details of the time stamp and how to access it w/c 13 November.

As a reminder, the data forms part of the Student Record required by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). Some providers in England also use the data to support Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) returns. HESA has confirmed there are no changes for UCAS to apply to StarJ for 2017.

As well as being available through the link products, this year’s StarJ flat file will also be available via MOVEit, the secure file transfer service. Find more details about this in the MOVEit user guide.
You can read about the ‘Specification of the UCAS data for HESA (*J) 2017’ on the HESA return page.

If you had some placed 2017 applicants in the HEP1 and HEP2 test environments, StarJ test data is set up for you to test. You can access this data by visiting our test and training environments page.
