The Star J file for the 2015 cycle is planned for release in mid-November.

Posted Wed 28 October 2015

The Star J file for the 2015 cycle is planned for release in mid-November. The file provides data on every individual accepted at each university or college and is used for annual HESA returns. The data also forms part of the Student Record required by HESA, and some providers in England use the file to support HEFCE returns.

In preparation for the release, updates are planned for deployment into the HEP test environments on the following dates:

  • HEP1 – Friday 30 October 2015
  • HEP2 – Friday 6 November 2015

Please note, if you want test data setting up for the Star J changes, you must have some placed 2015 applicants in the test environment. Guidelines on requesting test data can be found on ucas.com.

To deploy the HESA/Star J changes the systems below will be unavailable from 18:00 on Friday 6 November until 23:59 (UK time) on Sunday 8 November.
