Following feedback from the sector we can confirm we will be listing Clearing vacancies on ucas.com earlier than in previous years. Your vacancies will be displayed from 6 July this year, in line with the beginning of Clearing. This change will be particularly helpful for applicants who already have their results and are in Clearing, such as IB and BTEC students. It will also enable applicants still waiting for results to see what may be available should they become eligible later in the summer.
You will be able to set the Clearing vacancy status for each of your courses from 15 May. We have set the default position for Clearing vacancies to ‘None’ (closed in Clearing). To flag your vacancies so they appear in the Clearing listings, please ensure the Clearing vacancy status for each course is correctly set by 09:00 on Monday 29 June.
You can use the following categories to set your Clearing vacancies:
- all
- international only
- none
- UK (excluding NI) and international
- UK (excluding Scotland) and international
- UK and EU
- UK excluding Northern Ireland
- UK excluding Scotland
If you have any queries regarding the setting of Clearing vacancies please contact the Data Collection Team on 01242 544 864 or at coursesdata@ucas.ac.uk.
