As part of this, we created a mandatory training module for all nominated contacts and primary correspondents. Following feedback on the usefulness of the training, we’ve now made changes to the module, so colleagues at your university or college can complete it to enhance their understanding of the embargo process. The changes include:
- no requirement to register or sign in
- no requirement to access the secure providers' area of ucas.com – all linked screens are now contained within the module
- ability to skip forward or back on the majority of screens
- final quiz questions are answered one at a time (rather than a score given after the whole quiz has been attempted, with potential requirement to redo the quiz multiple times), with tips given if a user gets a question wrong. While users need to get all questions correct to get through to the end, this is easily achieved with minimal attempts required per question
- some updates to module content wording, to reflect feedback
Please share the training with as many colleagues as possible, using the link pdp.ucas.com. They just need to click the ‘2017 Results Embargo – guest training module’ link in the bottom left-hand corner, and click ‘Enter’ on the next screen to start the module.
Your colleagues should follow the on-screen questions and work their way through the module. As with the original training, we recommend using Chrome as the browser, and headphones/PC audio will be required.
When your colleagues finish the module, please ask them to ensure they complete the SmartSurvey with their name, role, and provider name.
