Results embargo agreement reminder

Please remember, you are strictly prohibited from releasing results data and any related information during the embargo periods.

Posted Wed 7 June 2017

The 2017 results embargo periods are:

  • 18:00 on Monday 31 July until 09:00 on Tuesday 8 August, SQA results day
  • 14:00 on Friday 11 August until 06:00 on Thursday 17 August, A level results day

To secure receipt of the 2017 ABL results data, you are required to:

  • have completed the UCAS embargo training module
  • sign and return the annual ABL embargo agreement, to acknowledge you agree to the terms in the agreement. This document must be printed, signed by you as the nominated contact, scanned, and emailed to awardingbodylinkage@ucas.ac.uk by Friday 23 June 2017

In response to the increased number of breaches of the ABL results embargo in 2016, and the concern expressed by the awarding organisations, UCAS has developed and delivered a zero embargo breach strategy, designed to create a stronger compliance culture and to enable a zero breach position in 2017 and onwards. Pre-release access to results data is not an entitlement, and awarding organisations have indicated they will reconsider these arrangements, and potentially withhold or delay the release of results data, unless compliance with the embargo period is improved.

Privileged access to early results data is critical to your admissions process, and it is important we work together to minimise the risk of any breaches during the embargo periods. Our aim is to support you in the best way possible during this crucial time. However, we reserve the right to withdraw access to results from any provider that does not complete the 2017 e-learning training module, and does not sign and return the results embargo 2017 agreement.
