Between 14 and 17 April this year, we emailed UCAS applicants to invite them to participate in an online survey about the use of their personal data.
Over the four day period, we had 37,000 respondents, and 28,000 of those answered all 35 questions.
The overall tone of the results suggests that applicants can see some benefits in sharing personal data (for example with academic researchers). However, it also shows that the large majority would want to be asked for their consent first.
