Resources to support you with changes to the criminal convictions question in Apply

Best practice guidelines

Posted Wed 2 May 2018

As previously communicated, for the 2019 entry cycle, we’re making changes to the information we collect from applicants about unspent criminal convictions. To support you and your applicants, we want to commission admissions practitioner(s) to produce some best practice resources.

If you’re interested in participating, or would like to find out more, please complete this form and email it to B.Jordan@ucas.ac.uk.

Criminal convictions seminar

We’re also hosting a joint seminar with Unlock, Prisoners Education Trust, and Longford Trust. The seminar will explore the changes, and discuss how providers can support students with criminal convictions apply to HE. It will cover considerations to make when reviewing your policies and procedures, and give you the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences from students with criminal convictions who have applied to HE.

  • Date: Friday 1 June 2018
  • Venue: UCAS, Cheltenham

Registration for this free session will open shortly. Keep an eye on ucas.com/providers for more information.
