We are absolutely committed to ensuring the service meets our customers’ expectations, and have therefore decided to reschedule the launch of the postgraduate application management service (AMS) to spring 2018. In light of this, we will also be undertaking a thorough evaluation of our delivery commitments to undergraduate providers and conservatoires, engaging with you to understand priorities and taking on board your feedback. We will advise on this at the Annual UCAS Update in November, as development for postgraduate AMS progresses. We understand this will be a disappointment, and apologise for any inconvenience this rescheduling may cause, but we must ensure new technologies build on the benefits delivered to date.
We will continue to engage with our groups and forums, and would encourage all providers to get involved in the development process by reading our weekly ‘Development of our services’ update and attending our fortnightly webinars. This is an opportunity to be one of the first to see the changes we’re making, and feed in to the process. If you have any questions, please contact your relationship manager in the first instance, and we will be in touch with further updates as we go into the autumn.
Progress to date
Confirmation and Clearing saw us utilise several of our new technological capabilities. As a reminder, our development work to date has enabled us to:
- launch a multi-destination search tool, which we’re now using for displaying postgraduate courses, and 2018 undergraduate and conservatoire courses
- launch a multi-destination collection tool, which feeds into the search tool and replaces several legacy systems
- introduce a new customer relationship management (CRM) system, allowing us to integrate and deliver journey-based communications to learners and advisers
- successfully expand our migration to cloud-based services, improving the stability, security, and resilience of our systems
- introduce a more resilient telephony service
We remain focused on enhancing these services and driving further features.
