Release of the 2015 Star J transactional file

The Star J file for the 2015 cycle is planned for release in mid-November. The file provides data on every individual accepted at a provider and is used for annual HESA returns. The data also forms part of the Student Record required by HESA, and some providers in England use the file to support HEFCE returns. We will provide confirmation of the release date in early November. In preparation for the release, updates are planned for deployment into the HEP test environments on the following dates: • HEP1 – Friday 30 October 2015 • HEP2 – Friday 6 November 2015 Please note that if you want test data setting up for the Star J changes, you must have some placed 2015 applications in the test environment.
