Record of Prior Acceptance (RPA)

The RPA is a shortened version of the full UCAS application and allows you to submit applicant information you have obtained through any direct applications.

Posted Tue 22 August 2023

It’s essential you submit RPAs so we can monitor and report the number of applications made, acceptances and the use of RPAs.

To be eligible to use the RPA: Applicants must not already be in the UCAS system AND must have met the requirements for entry to the course, i.e., be eligible for an unconditional offer, as they will bet set to UF.

Managing RPAs in bulk

In addition to the ability to manage individual RPAs, if you are managing a large number of RPAs you can input data by using the spreadsheet throughout the cycle.

Deadlines

The final deadline for submitting RPAs is 16 October, but if you are submitting data in bulk via a spreadsheet, we would strongly encourage you to complete this by 6 October to allow time to deal with any discrepancies.

Accessing the RPA service

The service is accessible from your dashboard, provided you have the correct access. If you require access to RPAs for your institution, please contact your Primary Correspondent.

Guidance and support

Our dedicated page has all the information you need about RPAs, and if you are new to RPAs, or would like a refresh, we have a training module on our Personal Development Platform.
