You may be aware that students who have not achieved the grade 4 threshold – or D or below under the alphabetic grading system – in maths and English by 16, must resit their exams. Note that students are required to achieve the 4/C in only one English GCSE – either language or literature – to meet the conditions of funding. More information is available on the GOV.UK website.
