If this affects you, as a workaround, please make the applicant an offer on the 2017 intake of the course. Once the offer has been made, keep a list of applicants’ names, Personal IDs, and course details, and send this to us at hep_team@ucas.ac.uk in May – when the integration between our collection tool and application management service will be live. We’ll then provide support in deferring these offers.
You will need to mention this in the conditions of the offer, and contact the applicant in writing to let them know. We have drafted some content for you to use, if required:
‘As shown in UCAS Track, we have sent you an offer for 2018 entry. Please note, due to system constraints this will remain as a 2017 start date in Track until May, when it will be corrected to 2018.
If you wish to accept this offer, please do so – you will be accepting a 2018 start date, not 2017 as stated.
Once this has been corrected you will receive an email from Track stating that something has changed.’
