Professional skills tests

If you are in contact with candidates prior to application, it’s important to remind them when they can take the professional skills tests.

This is particularly important if you use the results to inform your decisions about course entry.

  • Candidates can only take their skills tests once they have evidence of having submitted their UCAS Teacher Training application.
  • They can book their tests in advance, as long as their application is submitted before they attend the test centre.
  • Without their Track welcome email, or correspondence from a training provider confirming their application, they will be rejected at the test centre.

This handy UCAS Teacher Training advice blog answers the top three questions our advisers receive from applicants about when and how to book.
