As mentioned in last week’s bulletin, there are a number of steps you need to take in preparation for the 2015 scheme launch. 

Check & action

  • If you are offering a PGCE or Master’s level credits, select the correct training programme outcome (‘Professional’, ‘Postgraduate’ or ‘Both professional and postgraduate’). This will ensure your training programme is visible to applicants in the UCAS Teacher Training search tool, and does not default to Recommended for QTS only. See page 21 of the

  • Add training locations or campuses to reflect the make-up of your school partnership.
  • Speak to your accrediting provider before Tuesday 30 September to check you have selected the correct modular status for your programme in web-link.
  • If you have not already done so, please also create your Entry Profiles for your 2015 programmes.


Amending fields within training programmes after 30 September

From 1 October you will no longer be able to make any amendments to the following fields within each programme:

  • Programme type
  • Accrediting provider
  • Age
  • Training programme outcome
  • Receive applications from date

Training programmes with incorrect data in these fields will need to be discontinued and recreated with the correct information.

Changing training programmes status from ‘New’ to ‘Running’

Please wait until you have received confirmation of your NCTL allocation before you change the status of your training programmes from ‘New’ to ‘Running’.
