Preparing for the 2015 scheme launch

In preparation for the forthcoming National College for Teaching and Leadership's (NCTL) allocation announcement, and to help you successfully launch your Teacher Training programmes at the end of October, please refer to the 

• Check that your training programmes in Net.update match the allocations you or your partnership have bid for from the NCTL.
  • Action - add any missing training programmes. 
  • Action - suspend or discontinue any training programmes you have set up in error or that are
      not running this year (please refer to page 26 of the

• We have changed the way some titles are displayed to ensure consistency across all training programmes to assist applicants in their research, e.g. training programmes entitled Modern Languages courses will now feature the language in brackets (if this was originally included in your title).
  • Action - please call our Data Collection team on 01242 544 864 if you have any queries about
      your programme titles.

• Check that you have selected the correct training programme outcome (‘Professional’, ‘Postgraduate’ or ‘Both professional and postgraduate’) if you are offering a PGCE or Master’s level credits.

• Check that you have Entry Profiles set up for your training programmes.
