Monthly security patching
We are carrying out the security patching of production environments from Thursday 2 - Sunday 5 September. This work was delayed from August due to the change freeze in place to ensure the availability of services over Confirmation and Clearing.
It will be a partial outage, and there will be outages at various points over the maintenance period –find the list of times on our website.
During this work, we will also be deploying some bug fixes/minor enhancements which will have HEP benefits. In response to your feedback, enhancements have been made to some weblink reporting:
- The ‘Release into Clearing’ report can now be sorted by all the fields contained in it, to include choice number, campus and date of release into Clearing
- Applicant email address is available within all management information reports and export files. Previously exported files will not contain this information
Contextual data update
Work is taking place on 31 August between 08:00 – 16:00 to publish the contextual data metrics for 2022 cycle. Although there won’t be an outage to service, you can expect larger volumes of data than usual in your subsequent imports from us via odbc-link and xml-link.
Reference data updates
On 31 August we will also begin to populate reference data fields that have been expanded as part of the changes for the 2022 cycle, which we previously communicated to you.
You will need to update your student record system in order to accept the expanded data fields when 2022 applications become available to you from 7 September, so please check with your system administrator to ensure it is prepared.
