Our security incident management process

Maintaining the integrity of the UCAS technology infrastructure and the safety of applicant data is vital for UCAS and our customers.

If your provider experiences a security incident, such as a data breach or a cyber-attack, please let the Customer Success Team know as soon as possible. If it’s a cyber-attack, we’ll need to disable your access and permissions to UCAS services to maintain the integrity of the UCAS technology infrastructure and to keep applicant data safe from compromise.

If this happens, we’ll make sure to keep in touch so that you know what the operational impact is, and when we’ve had confirmation the incident has been fully resolved, we’ll restore your access and permissions. The above always applies but is especially critical during the Confirmation and Clearing period.
