Our postgraduate beta search will be available next week

A test version of our postgraduate search tool will be available on ucas.com from 16 September 2015.

Posted Fri 11 September 2015

Further to our update on 27 August, our postgraduate beta search tool will be available on ucas.com from 16 September 2015. This is a test version of the service that’s been developed using feedback from providers, applicants, groups and forums. We’re very grateful of the feedback we’ve received to date, as it has enabled us to shape the service to this point. We’ll continue to use this, alongside future feedback we will receive from our wider group of users, to identify and prioritise the features required to launch the postgraduate search tool.

The beta version won’t replace our existing postgraduate search tool until we’re confident we will be meeting our customers’ needs and providing a good user experience. On every page of the beta search tool, we will display a messaging explaining that this is a beta service, and that our main postgraduate search tool should still be used when searching for courses.

How we’ll be collecting feedback
On every page of the beta search tool, there will be a button labelled ‘Give us your feedback’. This will link to a data capture form, where users will be able provide us with their comments. If you have any feedback on the beta search, please use this feature.

In addition, we will be using software to track users’ mouse movements and their journeys as they use the beta search. This will be combined with feedback from the data capture form.

Find out more
Every fortnight we host webinars with providers to enable them to find out more about developments to our services. Over 140 providers have engaged in these sessions to date. You can watch a playback from the session on 2 September online. The next session is due to take place on Wednesday 16 September and will include an overview of our search tool and plans to launch the beta search. To register:
