Since then, we’ve been collating and responding to feedback. Examples of the feedback received, and how we’re responding to it include:
- the wording of the message that appears when the calculator can’t return a result – we will be shortly amending this to ‘Sorry we are unable to provide a valid likelihood of receiving an offer, as we can’t match the info you’ve given to our data. We’ve only included universities, colleges, and subject combinations where there’s enough data to give you a valid result, but this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t apply for this course. Take a look at our search tool to make sure you meet the entry requirements. If you are still unsure, speak to your teacher or adviser for more guidance’
- A level subject groupings and how they work – there is now a link to the spreadsheet of A level subject groupings in the calculator
- the calculator returns inaccurate or misleading offer rates – we’re investigating specific examples of direct results by reviewing a provider’s historical offer-making. Please contact your relationship manager if you’re experiencing this issue
Over the next few weeks we’ll continue to collate feedback and let you know what the key themes are. We’ll also keep you informed about how we’re developing the calculator and addressing any concerns that are arising.
