Next steps: What is the experience of disabled students in education?

Next Friday 1 July we will be releasing new research around disabled students.

Posted Wed 22 June 2022

The research explores their experience in education to date, along with their excitement and worries about progressing to higher education. For the first time, this report examines each impairment category and the connection of other personal characteristics to understand the patterns and preferences – and whether there were hidden challenges.

On the day of publication, we will be sharing content on our social media channels including videos and student stories, all with the hashtag #disabilityandme. We would love it if you could get involved by sharing what your provider does to support disabled students transitioning to higher education, or inspirational content about disabled students who have studied at your institution. We’ll be sharing content on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter all day with the hashtag #disabilityandme – please join us in spreading this important message.

We’ll be circulating the report to you under embargo on Thursday 30 June.

The webinar will talk you through the embargoed report and provide recommendations as to how you could better support disabled students transitioning to HE.
