As the new Tariff points are very different to the current Tariff points, we have created a points calculator to help teachers, advisers and learners calculate points based on the new Tariff. The calculator is designed in such a way that before it shows the total number of Tariff points, a disclaimer will remind learners that the total Tariff points are an indicative guide only and that it is really important to check individual university and college requirements before they apply.
In addition to the calculator, we have launched a new video explaining the new Tariff on ucas.com. The video is aimed at learners currently in Year 11 and S4 in Scotland, as they will be the first cohort affected by the new Tariff. In this short two minute video, we show how the new Tariff points work and remind learners that not all universities and colleges use the Tariff in their entry requirements.
