Colleagues,
After seven years of creating and leading analysis and research at UCAS, Mark Corver, Director of Analysis and Research, will be leaving later this year. Mark came to UCAS in October 2010, and was the driving force in changing the understanding of how data science could help universities and colleges, then creating and leading our organisational capability to do just that. Mark has created a brilliant team, including our recent programmes of data interns.
I’m delighted that Fiona Johnston has agreed to step up to the role of Interim Director of Analysis and Research to lead the team following Mark’s departure. Fiona has been part of the senior leadership team in Analysis and Research for the last two years, where she has done a great job creating value from data, by making sure UCAS has the right data services in development. Previous to this, she delivered the UCAS International Admissions Review, then led on the relationship with the National College of Teaching and Leadership. Prior to joining UCAS, Fiona worked at course providers. I will be working to progress a more permanent leadership arrangement over the coming months.
Kind regards
Clare
