Keeping up-to-date with our developments

Register for our next webinar and find out about our latest releases.

Posted Wed 17 January 2018

Register for our next webinar on Wednesday 24 January, 11:00 – 12:00 (UK time). We’ll be demonstrating updates to our application management service (AMS), including:

  • showcasing document downloads and document status, documents in provider questions, and provider decision-making changes
  • updates on Unicode and ASCII support in AMS
  • end-to-end testing of AMS – a call for participants
Reminder: Collection tool

We’ve received feedback that some providers want to update course information for 2019 course options, without affecting 2018 course options. While this is possible for data specific to the course option (e.g. entry requirements), some course data is shared between both years (e.g. course title and summary). Currently, it’s not possible to change the shared data without affecting both years.

We’re looking into functionality to edit specific academic years, to allow for changes to all course data. We hope to deliver a solution before 2019 UCAS Undergraduate courses are published in the search tool, and will keep you updated on progress through our fortnightly webinars.

Reminder: Watch our webinar on how to bulk copy your courses for a new intake

We wanted to make sure you’re aware you can now bulk copy UCAS Undergraduate and UCAS Conservatoires courses for a new intake. This replaces our rollover process, including the ability to update specific start dates for the next year. If you’d like more information, watch our webinar, or take a look at our FAQs.

Reminder: Assigning HECoS codes

Here’s a reminder of the HECoS resources we have to help you implement these codes ahead of May 2018.

  1. Andy Youell, from HESA, explains why HECoS codes have been introduced, and why they’re important – watch the video.
  2. Watch our webinar on how to assign HECoS codes in the collection tool.

You’ll need to assign HECoS codes to your 2019 courses before UCAS Undergraduate Apply opens in May 2018. This is a mandatory field you’ll have to complete before you can publish a course. For more information, visit our HECoS web page.
