We have been contacted by some applicants, to tell us they have been asked by training providers to reply to their offers early, even when they are still waiting for decisions about their other choices. Every training provider has up to 40 working days to make their decisions and it is important to remember that not all of them are able to make decisions early. Training providers may have large numbers of applications, and scheduling of interviews will inevitably cause them to use the full 40 working days.

Applicants should not be pressurised into making decisions when other training providers have not yet interviewed and made their decisions. The UCAS Teacher Training scheme allows applicants to choose up to three training providers and then wait for all decisions to be made before they have to decide which offer they want to accept.

Please allow applicants to make their replies in line with your 40 working day decision period and their 10 working day reply period.
