This year’s SQA results embargo started on Monday 1 August and officially ends Tuesday 9 August.
Embargo guidance:
- Please remind all colleagues that your conservatoire must uphold the results embargo.
- If you have, or suspect you have, breached the embargo agreement, please contact your Relationship Manager immediately, even if you are still carrying out investigations.
- Privileged access to early results data is critical to your admissions process, and it is important we work together to minimise the risk of any breaches during the embargo period. Our aim is to support you in the best way possible during this crucial time. However, we reserve the right to withdraw access to results from any conservatoire that breaches and/or fails to notify us of potential or actual breaches, with immediate effect.
Common reasons for embargo breaches include automated email campaigns and mailings sent out to applicants during the embargo period. These communications tend to contain information relating to an applicant’s status – for example, information about course reading material or accommodation, or information where an applicant’s status has changed enabling them to infer their results.
We hope we can count on you and your teams to adhere to the embargo agreement and notification protocols.
If you have any questions about the embargo, please contact awardingbodylinkage@ucas.ac.uk.
