It was a great opportunity to talk to you about the exciting developments we’re working on, and to get your feedback to help steer our developments, and how we can help to prepare you for these changes.
In Fiona Johnston’s session on day one, she informed providers about self-release which will be available for Clearing 2019. We got some really useful feedback, from which we are in the process of updating our FAQs document to support providers. We will share this in next week’s bulletin. If you have any further questions, please get in touch with your relationship manager.
The application management service (AMS) demos run throughout the two days were really well received, and we had some great feedback about the new service we’re developing. We’re currently working with vendors, as well as providers with in-house student record systems, to make sure they are prepared for the May 2020 launch. However, if you have any concerns please contact your technology relationship manager.
We also received valuable feedback on the make-up of our plenary panels. We’re always grateful to the providers, advisers, parents, and applicants who volunteer their time to take part in these. If you, or any of your applicants/students would like to take part in similar panel sessions in the future, please get in touch with the Events Team at events@ucas.ac.uk.
On day two, Louise Evans, Head of Adviser and Provider Experience, and Aaron Powell, Chief Technology Officer, delivered an interactive session, which included a table activity encouraging delegates to start thinking about how they might prepare for AMS. A number of colleagues have asked for a copy of the activity sheet, and we’re happy to share it with you.
We hope you found the Conference enjoyable and insightful. If you have any thoughts or queries, please contact your relationship manager. For those of you unable to attend, you can view the presentations for some of the main sessions delivered over the two days:
We also did several Sli.do polls, which got a great response. We thought the results were really interesting, and wanted to share these with you too.
