Have you heard about UCAS’ groups and forums?

Our groups and forums play a central role in ensuring UCAS has a formalised route into getting specialist scheme or market-specific advice and feedback from a representative range of our customers across the UK.

UCAS’ current structure of groups and forums was set up in 2013. We currently have 11 advisory groups, ten regional forums, three standing groups and one user group. In addition, a number of working groups has been set up as a result of recommendations from the different groups and the sector-run Change Steering Group.

All the groups (with the exception of regional forums) have agreed Terms of Reference, a nominated Chair from the relevant sector, and a structured membership matrix. Details of each of these can be viewed on the groups and forums web pages.

Groups and forums are currently playing a pivotal role in helping us develop our new products and services. Workshops have been carried out, where discussions on the developments have been had, and improvements fed back. Minutes for each of our Advisory Group and Standing Group meetings are available on the web pages and will also be highlighted in our bulletins and newsletters. We also now provide a six-monthly summary report, which provides a high-level summary of discussions covered by these groups, pulling together any key themes of discussion.

All the groups' meetings are scheduled well in advance and are listed in the groups and forums calendar. Information about our series of regional forums, including the agenda, and information about reserving a place is available on the regional forums homepage.

If you are interested in joining one of our advisory groups, membership vacancies are communicated in our provider bulletins, or sector newsletter.
