This week we will release our first analysis note looking at application rates to higher education in Scotland by the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD).
The analysis shows a 50 per cent increase in demand for higher education from 18 year olds living in the most deprived areas of Scotland since 2006. Young people living in the least deprived areas of Scotland remain more likely to apply to higher education through UCAS.
The report is under strict embargo until 10:00 on Thursday 18 June, when it will be published in the data and analysis section of ucas.com. The media will not receive a copy until then.
