Cyber security

Following our plenary session at this week’s Admissions Conference, we are committed to sharing guidance on how we work with providers on managing a cyber security incident.

Posted Wed 6 April 2022

As a customer of the scheme, you are obliged by our Terms of Service and Undergraduate Admissions Guide to report any cyber security incidents.

If you become aware of a security incident you must raise this with UCAS as soon as possible. This can be done by:

  • reporting via our self-service portal

  • informing your Service Delivery Manager (Technical)

  • contact the HEP Customer Success Team on 0344 984 1111 or hep_team@ucas.ac.uk.

In the event of a cyber security incident, we will need to disable your access to UCAS digital services including, UCAS.com/Provider Dashboard, link products, MOVEit and the Adviser Portal (if applicable).

Please ensure you have updated your business continuity contacts. This will only be used if other channels are unavailable. This person must be who we should contact to discuss measures taken regarding access to UCAS systems resulting from the incident. We need an alternative email address to your regular provider email and a mobile number – click here to add this information.
