2014 entry dates
There are a few important dates coming up which you will need to be aware of:
28 August at 18:00
This is the closing date for any late applications to be submitted. After this date, applicants will no longer be able to submit an application through CUKAS. If you would like to offer a place to an applicant who has not met this deadline, you should use the Record of Prior Acceptance (RPA) procedure. Please refer to page 8 of the Admissions Guide for more details on how to do this.
2 September
The delayed confirmation decision (DCF) facility will become available on 2 September. You can use this if you know that an applicant won't be able to meet certain conditions of their offer until later on in the year. This option is only available until 24 September, so as soon as the relevant results are received, you should enter either a Confirmation acceptance or rejection for the applicant. Any outstanding DCFs will be rejected by default in early December 2014.
If you would like to enter a DCF against an applicant choice on web-link:
- select the decision box against the choice
- select RD Confirmation delay option
- submit the changes
24 September
This is the last date for receipt of Record of Prior Acceptances (RPAs). You will not be able to create RPAs for applicants after this date. If you still want to accept an applicant, you will need to find another way to do so.
Admissions Guide
We are pleased to announce that the CUKAS Admissions Guide 2015 is now available on our website. This document contains key dates you'll need to be aware of for the 2015 admissions cycle.
Meeting
On 15 September 2014, we will be holding a meeting at The Royal Northern College of Music for marketing staff from CUKAS conservatoires. This is a great chance for us to explain how UCAS currently communicates with applicants, advisers and parents, and to discuss with you how we can communicate key information on the CUKAS scheme to these audiences in the future. We will also take this opportunity to cover the CUKAS branding change with you in more detail.
Please pass this information on to your recruitment and admissions colleagues who may be interested in attending, as their knowledge and feedback will be invaluable.
If you would like any further information about this meeting, please contact Janet Warne on 07824707699, or email j.warne@ucas.ac.uk.
