Choosing your Confirmation letter

As we draw closer to the Confirmation period, please make sure you’ve selected the correct AS12 letter type to be displayed in Track.

  • Select the AS12B if you want applicants to email you to confirm if they’re taking up the place or not.
  • Select the AS12N if you want applicants to email you only if they will not be taking up the place.
  • Select the AS12 if you do not want to receive further email confirmation from applicants.

To select the relevant letter type:

  • sign in to web-link (institution data)
  • from the link menu select 'Course and institution data (Net-update)'
  • from the main menu select 2016 year of entry from the drop-down and 'UCAS institution and site details'
  • from the institution menu select 'Institution requirements'

In the 'Type of AS12 required' field select:

  • 'Coming or not' for the AS12B
  • 'Not coming' for the AS12N
  • 'No response' for the standard AS12
If you select either the AS12B or AS12N, it’s compulsory to have a '51 – Addressee for AS12 replies' contact set up in web-link – see ‘Setting AS12 contact information’ below.
