In bulletin 321 we announced the go-live dates for Undergraduate Apply for 2016. Following on from this, we are pleased to confirm the search tool opened successfully on Tuesday 5 May. Below are some additional changes we have implemented to the search functionality in response to user feedback:
• Link to unistats website – we have provided a link on the course details summary page to the statistical information page on the unistats site, to enable users to find additional information about their chosen course.
• Search results – upon selecting a provider from the auto-suggest list, users will now be presented with a full list of the provider's relevant courses, as opposed to just the top five.
• Entry requirements groupings – ‘Irish qualifications’ has become its own grouping (previously these entry requirements were displayed in another grouping).
• Updated the titles of the qualifications – ‘Welsh Baccalaureate’, ‘International Baccalaureate’, ‘European Baccalaureate’, ‘AQA Baccalaureate’ (previously Baccalaureate – Welsh, Baccalaureate – International, Baccalaureate – European, Baccalaureate – AQA).
• Addition of help text to ‘Course subject to approval’ – we have added additional text next to the field to help applicants understand what this field means. Help text wording was agreed with providers as part of the repair and resolve project.
