Capitation fee changes

We wrote to you in January 2016, to inform you of a change in capitation and application fees for the 2017 admissions cycle.

Posted Wed 7 September 2016

In December 2015, the UCAS Board approved increases to some scheme application and capitation fees for the 2017 admissions cycle. This is in line with our annual review, and ensures we are able to meet our responsibilities in delivering value for money, and a fair and accessible admissions service for applicants and higher education providers.

The changes for the UCAS Undergraduate scheme are:

Capitation fees

  • UCAS Undergraduate to increase to £22.77 (excl. VAT).
  • The minimum fee to higher education providers is now £2,277.

Application fees

  • UCAS Undergraduate to increase to £13 for single choice applications, and £24 for more than one choice (incl. VAT).

Further information can be found in the FAQs, included in the fees update on ucas.com.
