This service provides data about an applicant's school or college and neighbourhood, which can be used for contextualised admissions – to help with assessing an applicant’s prior attainment and potential to succeed in light of their educational background.
If you want to use this free-of-charge service, you need to register with us, and make it clear to applicants that you’re accessing this, and how the data is being used within the admissions process.
In response to qualification reforms and policy changes, school performance measures, which form a significant part of this service, will undergo significant change in England and Wales from 2016. Similarly, Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland has resulted in changes to the way in which data is reported, and Northern Ireland is to commence a review shortly. This means that many of the metrics included within the service will be not be available from the 2018 admissions cycle.
To understand how you are using, or might like to use, the service, and how best to shape its development for 2018 and beyond, please take part in this short survey. The deadline for completion is Friday 28 October. If you are interested in attending a follow-up workshop, please leave your contact details when prompted at the end of the survey.
