Business Rule Clarification – substituting choices

Applicants can substitute their choices themselves within 14 days of submitting the application provided no offers have been made.

Should an offer have been made, they are able to substitute this choice but will need to contact UCAS to action.

Should an applicant find themselves with exceptional extenuating circumstances, UCAS will consider a substitution outside 14 days provided there is sufficient evidence submitted from a 3rd party to clarify i.e. referee. This does not apply for discontinued courses or pre-agreed substitutions at the request of the relevant provider.
