Following the release of results files on Friday 7 August, we have received a number of enquiries from providers requiring more details and clarification on; Access to HE Diploma results, Welsh Baccalaureate grading and the STEP programme.
Below is a summary of the enquiries and further guidance to support your processing activities.
A. Missing Access to HE Diploma Results
Following the receipt of Access to HE results on Thursday 6 August, we identified a number of errors with the files, including some missing unit grades and Credit values. New files were requested, however they were not received in time to be included within the main processing activity. In an ABL update on Thursday, we advised that the missing files would be made available as part of the amendments process, which commences on Monday 10 August.
B. New grading for the Welsh Baccalaureate
The new Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate results coded .WE will be presented to you with an overall Pass result and an alphabetical grade (A*-C) and (for this year only) a previous grade. For example, you will receive: PA* and a previous result as (P). This means that PA* will appear in the current grade field and (P) will appear in the previous grade field.

The new Advanced Welsh Baccalaureate Core is graded A* to C with each grade attracting 120 Tariff points.
C. STEP Programme
Within this set of results please note that A=Absent.
