An advanced Tariff training session took place at Kingston University on Wednesday 2 December. It was great to see Kingston’s commitment and engagement with the new Tariff live in action on the day. An impressive range of staff came together from admissions, outreach, marketing and planning to hear a presentation based on the new toolkit 2 and the advanced quiz, which were published on ucas.com earlier this year.
Nick Bhugeloo, Head of Applicant Services, who led the training session, said: “The training was well received by all colleagues who attended. I feel that we have added meat to the bones, which will definitely make it easier to move things forward internally. It was great to use the toolkit 2 and advanced quiz to really get staff thinking deeply about the implications of the new Tariff. It was well timed as we are now preparing to do our entry requirement updates to Course Collect – and…I never thought I’d say this but despite it being a Tariff related session, it was great fun!”
If you need help on implementing the new Tariff, remember you can contact your Relationship Manager for help and advice. Regional forums in February will provide another opportunity to discuss the new Tariff with your colleagues. The feedback from the Annual Review Meeting showed that you are really keen to share training and project plans and other practical tools with others to provide peer support. If you have developed your own tools, it would be great if you could share them at your next regional forum – your Relationship Manager can advise how to do that.
