web-link can only be accessed from computers showing a UK IP address (the unique set of numbers which identifies where a computer is accessing the internet from). To access web-link from outside the UK, you or your colleagues need to ensure you can connect to your provider’s network through a VPN or similar solution. This will give you a UK IP address, allowing a connection to web-link as though you were based in the UK.
Your IT department will probably have to install VPN software before you travel overseas, so please ensure all staff who might have to access web-link remotely have VPN capability before travelling. Failure to do so may mean you can’t access web-link to amend an applicant’s status during the busy Confirmation & Clearing period. Please contact your own IT department for support.
Please also make sure you have access to web-link by testing that your username and password are valid before travelling overseas. If you have forgotten your username and password, please contact your web-link administrator.
