Access to Higher Education Diploma awarding and assessment arrangements

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) has published the arrangements for the awarding and assessment of the Access to Higher Education Diploma for the 2021-22 academic year.

Posted Wed 15 September 2021

The arrangements build upon those from the previous academic year, and seek to ensure that as far as possible, students are awarded their Diploma by being taught and assessed whilst offering flexibility for Access Validating Agencies (AVAs) and providers to put in place appropriate measures where a student cannot complete an assessment due to Covid-related issues out of their control.

This will help to ensure that grades received by Access to HE students this year are as robust as those from previous years so that students and higher education providers can have confidence in them.

Information for receiving higher education providers is available on the QAA website. If you have any questions about the arrangements for the Access to HE Diploma, please contact QAA on AHE@qaa.ac.uk.
