Access to HE Summit ‘Widening Participation to HE in a changing funding and policy landscape’

Details of the summit being held on Tuesday 10 November, from 9.30 to 16.30 at Woburn House Conference Centre, London.

The fifth Access to HE Summit ‘Widening Participation to HE in a changing funding and policy landscape’ will address the challenge of widening participation to HE in a changing policy landscape.The summit aims to set out and debate political, institutional and operational perspectives on access and widening participation issues for 2015/16 and beyond.

The event is being held on Tuesday 10 November, from 9.30 to 16.30 at Woburn House Conference Centre, London. Workshops and discussion groups include:

  • using the recent HEFCE data tools and maps in outreach
  • developing evidence and evaluation of widening participation practice
  • attracting diversity; admitting equality
  • how UCAS supports widening participation
  • examining the finance implications for students 2015-19
  • understanding the needs of part-time students to improve their HE experience

Speakers include: Professor Dame Goodfellow, President UUK and VC University of Kent; Professor Byrne President and Principal, University College London; Chris Millward, Director for Policy, HEFCE; David Barrett, Assistant Director, OFFA; Sorana Vieru, Vice President Higher Education, NUS; Professor Delyth Chambers, Director Student Recruitment and Outreach and Admissions, University of Warwick; and John Storan, Director, Continuum at UEL and Action on Access.
