The 2014 End of Cycle Report is now available to download from ucas.com

More detailed data resources about the 2014 cycle and statistics about providers are due to be published in January.

We’ve modernised the content and format of all our data resources for the 2014 cycle, including the provider-level statistics. Last year we piloted a new process giving you an extended preview of published provider-level statistics, and we’re using the same process this year. This year’s statistics were made available for preview on 19 December 2014 (cycle based statistics) and 22 December 2014 (entry year based statistics). The statistics are scheduled to be published on 21 January 2015.

As in previous years, the provider-level statistics will cover sex, age, subject group and application deadline (similar to the ‘applications digest’ content), but will be published in a new, uniform format, with built-in time series and updated definitions to make them easier to use.

We’ve also introduced two new provider-level data resources:

  • ethnic group
  • type of entry qualification held (A level, BTEC or SQA)

These provider-level reports and a guidance note on the content of the data will be available to download from our Secure File Transfer service. Instructions on how to use this are available in the step-by-step

document also provides details of how you can request a technical note to be added to the publication. It explains how to remove your provider from the publication in the first year for the new provider-level data resources covering ethnic group and type of qualification held. A form for making these replies is included with the note in both the cycle and entry year files, and is also included with this email.

If you wish to make one of these replies, please complete the form (Annex A) provided in the guidance document and email it to the Analysis and Research Team (arc@ucas.ac.uk) by 09:00 on 14 January 2015.

If you any queries around accessing the provider level reports or re-setting your Secure File Transfer service password please email hepservicedesk@ucas.ac.uk.

These reports are strictly confidential. Please do not share these statistics outside your university or college until given explicit permission from UCAS.
