Biography
Beth joined the IB in April after thirteen years as the Director of International Admissions and Deputy Director of Admissions at the University of St Andrews. She worked closely with an agile team of dedicated admissions professionals, along with academic faculty, to exercise meaningful transformation in St Andrews’ approach to admitting and supporting applicants. She has led teams to expand the University’s national and international profile, significantly increase selectivity, provide improvements in yield, and deliver a broad increase in student diversity. Beth led the University’s innovative transition in international admissions practices and approaches in admission review. Prior to her role at St Andrews, she worked within an integrated service unit for the University of Stirling in international student recruitment, admissions, study abroad and postgraduate admissions. Beth has actively participated in significant national and international educational forums, currently serving on the UCAS Qualifications Advisory Group. She maintains professional membership in both the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the International Association for College Admission Counseling.
