Julie Hyde

Director of External and Regulatory Affairs, NCFE

Julie has 23 years’ experience of management in the childcare and education sector and a further 12 years prior to this gaining commercial sales and training experience working in industry as a regional, then national Account Manager. Julie joined CACHE in 2010, bringing together her knowledge and experience of the childcare sector with her business background. When CACHE became part of NCFE in 2015, she directed the CACHE sector qualification and services, ensuring the gold standard qualifications continued to meet the needs of employers, providers and students. This included leading the Save Our Early Years campaign, which resulted in the government reinstating Functional Skills as alternative maths and English qualifications being accepted upon entry to the workforce as a Level 3 Early Years Educator. Today, as Director of External and Regulatory Affairs, Julie ensures NCFE’s reputation as a leading educational services provider endures and that their qualifications and services continue to support individuals to achieve their potential.

Julie is also a Governor at Percy Hedley College, Leeds City College and Chair of the Luminate Group Stakeholder Board. The board overseas programmes of learning and reviews how well the education or training provided by the group meets local needs.
