I am the Deputy Director of Admissions for Medicine at Lancaster University. As Deputy, I lead on the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) at Lancaster Medical School. I also help prospective students on what to expect from the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT), and work with our Widening Participation Director on widening access to medicine (with extensive knowledge on the different types of courses available including Medicine and Surgery with a Gateway Year, the contextual offer scheme, widening participation criteria and the Access to Medicine programme). I also work within our Team on the different stages of the selection process. In addition to my Deputy Director role, I am also a Lecturer in Biosciences within Lancaster Medical School, teaching a range of different disciplines including microbiology and biochemistry.
