UCAS’ 2022 Disabled Student Report highlighted the need to begin the progression journey for disabled students earlier. Recognising the vital role advisers play in encouraging students to share their individual needs, we recommend starting conversations about future steps sooner and involving parents, carers, and key support staff to ensure students reach their full potential. In this workshop, UCAS will present new resources designed to support disabled students through this journey.
The University of Leeds’ disability adviser will also provide insights into the differences in support and terminology between secondary and higher education and explain how information shared in the UCAS application is used after submission.
