Ms. Sherley Zhao completed her communication studies and acquired master’s degree at Hong Kong Baptist University. Before that she received her bachelor’s degree at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, majoring in interpreting and translating. She is now pursuing another postgraduate degree in Education Leadership in Practice with University of Manchester out of her value in lifelong learning. She worked in several influential local medias and produced impressive works regarding diverse figures. These experiences equipped her with valuable integrate skills when reaching the field of education. She has worked in international education for seven years. Working as university counsellor from Class 2019 to Class 2022, she successfully instructed students on their pathways to world’s top 30 universities. She also led students on various projects like female leadership exploration and sexuality education course design. Sherley started her current university counselling work in Wellington College China Hangzhou in 2022 and has supported the first cohort there to apply to destinations around the world successfully. Holding a passion to education and the belief of “embrace all possibilities”, she demonstrated patience and empathy to teenagers, along with proper encouragement and professional guidance. As an individual who stays curious about the ever-changing world, she is making her endeavors to help youngsters explore beyond limits and shape their unique identities.
